Welcome and thank you for visiting our Royal Marines Association Concert Band site. Please discover more detail about the former Royal Marines musicians who joined together to form this band in April 2006 by clicking onto the “History of the Band” tab above.

Since our very first public performance at the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre in Lympstone Devon in September of 2006, we have been actively engaged in performing at least two concerts a month. In this time we have gained a considerable following wherever we play, and have since become one of the most sought after military bands in the country!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lt Col Chris Davis OBE BA MMus DMA LRAM RM as the Band’s fourth Music Director.

Chirs had a long and distinguished career in the Royal Marines Band Service between 1975 and 2009 eventually reaching the top appointment in 2002, Principal Director of Music. During his last two years of service he was also the senior Director of Music of the Armed Forces.

We are particularly pleased to welcome Chris to our Band not least because in 2005 he was a member of the Corps’ committee which authorised the establishment of the RMA Band chiefly for the benefit of former Royal Marines musicians. He brings to the appointment considerable experience as a talented musician and administrator. We greatly look forward to working with him during the years ahead. His career summary can be found under ‘About The Band‘ on this website.
