New CD Bows in!

Resplendent_CDCongratulations are in order for the production of our long awaited new CD to Ken Peers, (Recording Technician – middle) ably assisted (with a very keen ear! – left) by our own flute, clarinet, and saxophone player Dave Clackett. Dave Ken Dave Recording

Particular congratulations of course must go to our Musical Director Dave Cole (right of pic’) for this his first CD with the band, and one of the very best to date. Dave is a stickler for musical detail and we think you will find it very difficult to find any kind of fault with the both the production and content of some wonderful choice of tracks. Our particular thanks goes to American composer Rossano Galante (pictured below) whom we contacted to agree the CD title in his honour. You will see that we have included two of his wonderful scores on this recording the other being an overture entitled “The Redwoods.” – We hope that we have done both justice. – Enjoy!

Captain David Cole MVO MMus ARAM RM

Since David took over from Ted Whealing in early 2011, he has led the Band in over 30 concerts. Many of them extremely high profile. For example in the Painted Hall at Greenwich where five members of the Royal Family attended; and at St James’s Palace courtesy of HRH the Prince of Wales.

He also produced a stunning performance at Gloucester Cathedral in May 2013, combining the Band with not one but two Military Wives Choirs – similarly at Romsey Abbey in September 2013 He has also master-minded numerous other concerts from Margate to the West Country during his first two and a half years with the Band.
