The RMA String Quartet entertain Trafalgar Night

String Quartet PlayingThe RMA string quartet made a return visit to the Army Navy club, (fondly referred to as the “In and Out club”) in St James's Square London on Thursday 17th Oct to play for their annual Trafalgar Night dinner.

Guest of honour for this prestigious event was the current 1st Sea Lord Admiral Sir George Zambellas KCB DSC ADC.

Led by Rodney Preston (Violin) the quartet played through out the dinner and later accompanied the famous international soprano Alison Pearce for the singing of The Fairest Isle from Purcell's King Arthur during the main course. Later she was supported once more by the quartet for the traditional singing of sea shanties that came just after the dinner.

A wonderful evening for all concerned made all the more enjoyable thanks to our talented orchestral musicians together with the stunning vocal chords of Alison of course.
