Well done to our Brass Quintet members comprising of Messers: Andy Wood (Bass), Jon Yates & Kevin Jones, (Trumpets) Robert Scarrett, (French Horn) and John Hill (Trombone) who recently played for the wedding of Lt Col Andy Milne RM & Janet Picton in Porlock Somerset.
– Here is their thank you email.
We are now back from our honeymoon and completed first week back at work so this is the first time we have had the chance to write and thank you properly for the music you and your fellow band members provided for our wedding on the 1st June.
I realise you are know doubt covered in accolades but I need to be added (again) to the list of admirers. The band was terrific and we were absolutely delighted with your performance. The music, style and your approach fitted the atmosphere we were trying to create for our guests. All enjoyed the day and with you being there playing in the evening made it for Janet and myself. We were thrilled with ‘Embraceable’ and ‘New York’ then enjoyed entertaining everyone with the our interpretation of the Hornpipe…stitched up or what!!
Please thank the entire band, you were equally wonderful and finished off what for us was a most memorable day. I sincerely hope that you too enjoyed the occasion. I now very much look forward to telling Sir Jock about the evening when I see him in a couple of weeks time.
Hopefully the journey back was not too bad and you are getting plenty of very much closer to home gigs!
Thank you again, we really appreciated your music and company.
Very best wishes to all,
Andy and Janet
